Wedding Link Up!

Be prepared for a crazy influx of pictures... did I mention I love them?? We got engaged in February 2012 and got married January 5th 2013. So I had a good time to plan the wedding. We did almost everything ourselves... like made almost everything. And I sometimes wish we had eloped and just kept the money. But looking back at the pictures, I really did love our wedding day. The planning was just stressful.

LOCATION: This is one thing I might change about our wedding. It was just about 2 hours from our home and both of our hometowns. It was a ranch with cabins (all our wedding party and family stayed in the cabins so that was GREAT) and it had a reception hall and a beautiful little chapel. That part was awesome! It was just a long drive for everyone.

During the Ceremony

COLORS: Purple and silver. It was a winter wedding and I loved these colors. These were also the colors of the college I went to and Ryan's high school colors. It related to both of us. They ended up looking great together.
These were my hot awesome amazing purple shoes

My beautiful flowers with my grandma's silver broach on it... needed her with me that day

BRIDAL PARTY: I had 5 Bridesmaids, Ryan had 6 Groomsmen but one the guy's grandfather's died and the funeral was that day, so we ended up with 5 and 5. We had the CUTEST 2 flower girls and 1 ring bearer (my nieces and my little brother). My bridesmaids were my sister Rebecca, my best friend (like a sister) Krystal, my friend Mary, my friend Cayla, and my sister in law Leah. Ryan had his brother Chris, my brother Casey, and his friends Jerry, Jason, and Corey.

LOVE this picture
The fact that they got down the aisle is amazing- they were precious!

FIRST DANCE SONG: We didn't have one.. But our reception was fun. Ryan mixed a CD for it... complete with "The Final Countdown." We just spent our reception doing the normal stuff and visiting with family and friends.
Our cake was amazing
Groom's table- when he gets old and looses his mind, he will think he is Batman
I surprised him with a Batman on the back of the cake giving a thumbs up!

HONEYMOON: We are leaving this week for our honeymoon. Mary (from the bridal party) is getting married on the beach in Key West next Thursday. We are leaving Sunday to drive down. We get Friday and Saturday on the beach and then we are spending 4 days in Orlando doing the Disney parks. It will be hot. But it will be fun! I'm sure I'll have an entire post dedicated to it!

WHAT I WOULD DO DIFFERENT: Move the location closer to family. Or have more money to have it at my grandparent's church. I love their church... but it was really expensive. We paid for a lot ourselves. Otherwise, I loved our day and I married my best friend.

I will leave you with a TON of pictures. I LOVED my photographer. She is amazing. :-)

Father's Day Weekend

This weekend was JAM PACKED! Friday night we played softball. Update: I have been upgraded to 2nd base. I guess I proved myself. :) Then we went to our friend's house to set up for our garage sale the next day. Saturday morning at 2 we crawled into bed. Then the alarm went off at 4:30. So off we went to make some mulah. It was pretty dang fun... except for the lack of sleep. And because I love my husband, we went to go see the new Superman movie. On two hours of sleep. When I could have been sleeping. At least it was a bad ass movie.

Sunday hubby left to work a camp. So I did the wifey thing and did ALL of our laundry and went grocery shopping. The pups were sad... they kept looking for him to come home. Broke my heart. And of course, I had a hard time sleeping last night. Always do when hubby is away. And it doesn't help that the pups were barking at everything last night. But I made it through the night.

This morning I woke up with the intention of going to the 8:15 Zumba class at the gym... and I got to the gym about 8:05. Lights were off in the Zumba room and no one was close. So I went to spin class instead and it was a great workout! Then I came home and cleaned cleaned cleaned. Tonight I'm meeting my parents and picking up my little sister. She is going to stay with me for a week. I'm so excited! She's only 12 and I always feel like I'm missing her grow up, so I'm excited to spend the week with her doing fun girly things!

Also I weighed in this morning and it was a lost! -2.8 lbs from last week. I'm proud of that. I've been really watching what I eat and it's paying off.

Five on Friday!

Hey People!! I'm trying this 5 of Friday thing... let's see how it goes!

1. I HATE watching movies, tv shows, specials or anything that makes me cry... I'm not a cute crier. I have an ugly face cry. And it seems like I cry at the drop of the hat when it comes to stuff with kids or parents or puppies or anything... so I just avoid them. This works out for Hubby because I would pick an action movie over a chick flick any day!

2. I have two puppies that are like my kids. I love on them, they sleep in my bed, and I ugly cried when my baby girl got surgery. I thought pet people were kind of crazy... until I got my girls. I cannot imagine being without them. I WILL be a basket case. The end.

3. If I feel pressured to do something, I tend to go in the opposite direction. Like you're pressuring me to wear red? While by God, I'm gonna wear green. Or if hubby is pressuring me to work out, I may still work out, but I'm gonna be pissed about it. Sometimes it's a great trait (peer pressure did NOT work on me) and sometimes it's rather annoying. Both for me and the people around me.

4. I play church league softball with my husband and brother in law. I loved softball when I was younger and I love getting to play now. But we play with boys and girls, so I usually get stuck in the outfield because I'm a girl. But that's okay. Playing is playing.

5. I'm obsessed with pictures. I have pictures in every room of my house except the bathrooms. Because there isn't room in there. I have several large picture frames with collages... I have at least two pictures of every end table... I even have pictures up in the ping pong room. These are all pictures of friends and family. And I keep lots of photo albums and a box full of pictures. My goal is to one day get them all organized into albums with captions. And my plan from here on out is to make a family yearbook for our little family. Hopefully that will keep it somewhat under control.

Workout Wednesday with Skinny Meg

I'm going to do a Link Up with Skinny Meg. I love seeing everyone else's workouts and getting to share mine! Now, this is a workout that leaves me tired, but that's what it's supposed to do! No cheating!

I started with Jenn's Kettle Bell workout.
     That's 25 kettle bell swings then 1/4 of a mile (4
laps around my track at the gym)
Now, the laps ARE NOT a rest time. They are
     cardio- push yourself!
Repeat 4 times (1 mile, 100 Kettle Bell swings)

     Set 1
Push up with weight and twist (Use two weights
and put them under your hands for a push up, do
a push up, then lift the weight of one arm up so
that your body twists into almost a side plank)
     10 each arm

20 lunges with bicep curl (10 each leg)

     1 minute wall sit

     Repeat 3 times

     Set 2
Squat with weight lift (a regular squat with
weight at the chest and when you come up, bring
the weight up above the head) 20x

Back Flies on ball (keep a bend in the elbow,
     pinch the shoulder blades) 15x

     20 Russian Twists
Enjoy!!

Summer Summer Summer TIIIMMMMEEE!

I forgot to weigh in yesterday, so I did today. 236.8. That's down 2.4 lbs. But I had gained some weight since the last time I posted my weight. It's success. Just gotta keep going down!
It's hard to balance first thing in the morning

Last night I had an awesome work out. I'll post it tomorrow to link up with Skinny Meg. But I'll leave you with this little gem.
Butterflies!

Also, have I mentioned that my husband is awesome? This was our dinner last night. YUMMY!! Shrimp and broccoli. He's good!

This summer is starting off pretty awesome except that I can't get my lazy booty out of bed. Except to watch NCIS and Law and Order SVU Marathons... I may have a problem. I can watch them all day. And I haven't put make up on since Saturday. I look at it like I'm saving some dollas! I'm sure hubby wants me to put my face on again... but I'll get there. Tomorrow maybe. Maybe...

Remember, I've got a bad ass workout tomorrow to post... so check back!

Weekend Run Down

This weekend was packed full! Fun, but definitely packed. Friday we spent cleaning our house and getting stuff ready for our yard sale next weekend. I'm getting rid of A LOT of crap! I still have a lot of crap, but it's less than before. :-)

Saturday, I got in a work out early since that night was booked. I got the Jillian 30 day shred. Level 1 was challenging, but doable. I'll probably do it for a week or so until I bump it up. I then showered and drove two and a half hours for a bachelorette party. It was a blast! And not in the way normal bachelorette parties are... but just in a good ole fashioned girls' night way. I ended up leaving about midnight and got home about 2:30. It was really hard for me to eat good because we went to a Japanese Steakhouse... I wanted rice something fierce. But I didn't. And my meal was pretty bad ass.
I was scared... but it was okay :)

Driving... bored
Amazing meal- Veggies, steak and shrimp

Sunday we slept in... like teenager slept in. And then I took a nap. But I did get a workout in. Went to the gym and got 2 miles in and then we took the pups for a mile and a half walk. Ellie was about done... I was worried I was going to have to carry her. That long of a walk is hard when you have short little legs.
Ready for her walk!

My phone died last night and when I plugged it up this morning, it blew up. So I'm sure I will be running errands all day. And trying to get a packing list together for our Florida trip. We're going to Key West for my friends' wedding and then driving back through Orlando and stopping for 4 days to do the Disney parks. Any suggestions on what to pack or not pack??

I would like to thank The Academy!

I got nominated for Leibster! Thanks Getz!! :-)  So for my SECOND post today, I'll answer her questions!

1.  Which do you prefer - cardio, weights or yoga? Depends on the day... either cardio or weights. Usually I feel like I've accomplished more after cardio, but I do love weights.

2.  What is your favorite movie of all time? That's like asking a mom to pick a favorite kid. You love them all! Here are some of my faves though...

This movie was the first time I remember loving music... it's a special one to me

3.  If you could pick a super power, which one would you choose? I would want to read people's mind... which I know might be a bad thing. I'm just very curious about how people's brains work. Either that or the ability to cure cancer.

4.  Name an item on your bucket list! Visit Ireland! It's the land of my people. And incredibly hot accents.

5.  Why did you originally start blogging? To keep my lazy self accountable. And because I've been so inspired by people that blog that I want to hopefully be able to do the same for someone some day.

6.  What was you first car? Dear Lord... a 97 Ford Contour... dark green

7.  What is you ideal vacation? A Cruise! One where all the parts of the ship work.

8.  Which do you prefer - beer, wine or mixed drinks? Mixed drinks. Mix that shit up so I can't taste it.

9.  What would you choose for your last meal? Dessert. Of all kind. Cake. Ice Cream. Chocolate covered chocolate.

10.  Are you a dog or cat kind of person? DOG! Cats are from the devil and I hate them. Except Grumpy Cat... but only because he is funny and reminds me of my brother.

11.  What is your favorite season and why? Fall. I love the weather change. And it's always easier to get used to the cooler weather than the humidity.
